From the Sunshine Coast right to your doorstep
A local, family-run toy store with loyal fans across Australia
Kuddly Kids has been a firm part of the Buderim community on the Sunshine Coast for more than 45 years.
In that time, owners have changed and shopfronts have shifted by 100m (give or take), but the spirit has always remained the same.
Kuddly Kids is about bringing smiles to the faces of young and old... Including mine.
Hi, I’m Lauren, Kuddly Kids owner, proud mum of 2 and Sunshine Coast local from way back.
Like many of us, I left the Sunshine Coast to explore the world but quickly realised that this right here was the perfect place to raise my 2 cheeky cherubs, with husband Leigh in tow, and soon joined by Otto the Vizsla, Lottie the Cobber/Shop dog and a flock of fluffy-bottomed chickens.
I believe Kuddly Kids and I were meant to be.
I’ve always held fond memories of my in-store adventures with my nana as a kid, and kept dropping into the store frequently as a new mum.
I loved the friendly chats, the nostalgia for my childhood, the toys and the bonus smiles on my kids’ faces.
So much so that I told myself if the store ever came up for sale, I’d love to buy it. Guess what… 2 months later the opportunity came up, and I grabbed it.
Since then, we’ve turned the store into a true community hub where I get to share the ups and downs of the rollercoaster of parenthood with locals and support a loyal online following with their toy, gift and kids clothing choices.
Today we’re stocking 100+ award-winning global brands and pride ourselves on the quality products that evolve with our tiny customers for years to come.
And I wouldn’t have it any other way!

The Kuddly Kids Checklist
4 questions we ask ourselves before stocking a product
Would we buy this for our kids?
We’d never stock anything we don’t love ourselves.
Would they love it?
Everything must get the tick of approval from our special Kuddly Kids first.
How long would they play with it?
Because longevity is important and makes for a smart investment.
What happens to it AFTER they’ve played with it?
We see it as our responsibility to minimise toy waste and encourage smarter play.
